Young [b]Roksana Yordanova[/b] is already a former player of [i][b]Levski Spartak[/b][/i]. It became clear today that the 22-year-old guard has been on tryout in Israel for the last few weeks. She has signed a one-year-contract with [b]Bnei Yehuda[/b] and will play there the new season. [b]Bnei Yehuda[/b] is a Division 1 team, consisted especially of young players. It took 4th place in the Final Standing of the Israeli Championship last year, being eliminated at the semifinals. [b]Roksana Yordanova[/b] spent the previous season competing for [i]Levski Spartak Sofia[/i]. The team took the second place in the Domestic Championship as well as the silver medals at the Cup of Bulgaria Tournament. They could not beat their main opponents from [i]Lukoil Neftochimic Burgas[/i] and as a result could not triumph with the title. [b]Roksana[/b] succeeded scoring 147 points in 20 games, which means an average of 7.4 points per game. She also gained experience participating at [i]FIBA Conference South Women[/i], where in 5 games made 0.8 points per game. Unfortunately, the girls of [i]Levski Spartak[/i] did not pass the groups and could not continue in the upper stage of the competition. [b]Roksana[/b] is in Israel, preparing for the start of the championship this week. The 180-tall-girl played a couple of friendly games with the shirt of [b]Bnei Yehuda[/b] and what surprised the coach and the management of the club most were her defensive skills. They were informed that she is a good 3-point-shooter, but nobody expected her to play like that in defense. In the game against [b]Ramla[/b] on Saturday, [b]Yordanova's[/b] new team lost 76-70, but the Bulgarian demonstarted excellent abilities, realising 10 points. The Israeli Championship is known to be one of the strongest in Europe. The Bulgarian will make her debut on 23rd October in the opening game against [i][b]Elizur Belisima Holon[/b][/i].
