Lukoil Academic defeated Levski in a close game

The champion of the NBL Lukoil Academic defeated Levski Sofia by 80-77 in one of the most dramatic games of the season in Bulgaria so far. The best teams in the championship for the past several years put on a show in Pravets right after Todor Stoykov′s jersey was retired by Lukoil. After this 17th round of the regular season Lukoil has 14 victories and 1 loss, while Levski has a 10-5 record.
Lukoil took the lead in the opening quarter, but in the second period it was Levski who was ahead and at halftime The Blues led by a single point - 41-40. At the end of the third period Levski took the margin up to 9 points, but Lukoil started playing good defense and quickly came back. The home team took the lead in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter and never looked back all the way to the final buzzer.
