Lukoil Academic won the 5th game of the Finals and won the NBL title

Lukoil Academic is the champion of Bulgaria after defeating Balkan in Game 5 og the final series in the National Basketball League of Bulgaria. "The Students" won 87-77 at home for 3-2 wins in the series. After 11 straigth titles, last year Lukoil lost to Levski Sofia in the finals, but now it got the trophy back.
Lukoil took control in the first minutes, yet both teams were nervous. The home team led all the way through the first half. After the break Lukoil′s lead reached 20 points and despite the effort of Balkan, took the victory.
Hristo Zahariev was named MVP of the finals scoring 23 points and added 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Nikola Dragovic registered 16 points and 8 boards and Kris Minkov netted 13. For Balkan Pavel Marinov finished the game with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
