EUROHOLD Balkan League is happy to announce that BC Balkan (Botevgrad, Bulgaria) is back in the competition. The team will rejoin the league and will be a part of it for a second time. The only season Balkan played in the tournament was 2010/2011 and it finished with 1 win and 7 losses in a group with Feni Industries, KK Mornar, Rilski Sportist and BC Mures.

"Balkan had a good last season in Bulgarian championship and with the head coach Aleksandar Todorov played good basketball. We′re happy to welcome them back in the competition for the forthcoming season. We need to sit with their management to check the schedule as they like to play most of their home games in the new gym. We′ll try to fix their most home games to be there but probably at least two matches they are going to play in Pravets.
The league is welcoming a very good and professional team. The city of Botevgrad is a very basketball one and has proven this over the years. We hope that Balkan will continue with us for a few seasons and we are going to built a good and professional relationship. I know their aim is to make a competitive roster and their target will be to reach the Final 4.
Balkan′s inclusion to the competition is also good and supportive for Bulgarian basketball and with it there will be five teams participating in European competitons - Levski and Balkan in EUROHOLD Balkan League, Lukoil Academic in Eurocup, Rilski Sportist in EuroChallenge and Dunav 8806 in Women Eurocup.
I would also like to thank the Mayor of Botevgrad - Mr. Georgi Georgiev as he is a person who loves sports and especially the basketball. His support is very important and I wish him to enjoy the upcoming season and be able to see a lot of good games for his team" said the Sports Director of EUROHOLD Balkan League - Mr. Shay Shtriks.

The league is hoping to have all the teams that will be a part of season 2013/2014 announced in two weeks. So far 8 teams are 100% sure to be in the competition and there are 4 possibilities for the other 2 places. The decision will be taken in the next two weeks but there will be no more that 10 teams and for sure the league will not make any compromise with the level of basketball.

The management of EUROHOLD Balkan League wants to wish good luck to Mr. Marin Mehandjiev in his new role as a team manager with Balkan. We expect to work in full cooperation with him in order for his team and the league to have a good, productive and successful season.
