The head coach of the Bulgaria juniors U-18 team Petko Delev predicted a really tough EuroBasket for his team in Division A. The specialist told BGbasket.com that the team′s got talent though. Here are his thoughts about the championship in Latvia this summer:

"Our participation at EuroBasket will be very tough as we are the only

Bulgarian national team to play in Division A. On the top of that we

are in a group with the host of the championship Latvia and the strong

teams of Turkey and France. Unfortunately we will have a short camp,

but I hope we can figure out some good plays on offense and defense.

Despite all, I am optimistic and in my opinion there are many talented

young players on our team. The most important task of the youth

national teams is to develop that talent and produce players for the

mens national team.

Our first goal is to win a victory in the group stage so that we keep

our spot in Division A. I think we can achieve something bigger than

that. When you are the underdog you could always surprise some of the favorites."
