Petar Klechkov moves to Blagoevgrad
The Bulgarian coach Petar Klechkov moves to Blagoevgrad for the next season. After successful negotiations with the Southwestern University, he was named the new head coach of the local Academic which competes in men’s A Group. Klechkov arrives from Balkan, where he was head coach the last two seasons. In 2009/2010 he won the bronze medals in Bulgarian NBL and last season the team released him after several losses.
Now Klechkov leads a camp of the Bulgarian national team for juniors U 20. They practice in Blagoevgrad, where the coach will continue his career. The team of Academic Blagoevgrad competed in the second division and finished in the last 11th place. The team’s record was 2 wins and 18 losses, but signing Klechkov will make the expectations to the team higher.
